As a leader you have to read people well, the better you are at it, the more impact you will have. All of that starts with your own desires, needs and emotions.

When we focus on emotional statements, it is crucial to show the world that you really care by your actions, charisma, enthusiasm and other positive reinforcement. Especially, the team needs to feel heard, their work to be appreciated, and that everything they do matters. Even the small tasks are bringing you all to the goal line, making the vision come true.

However, as a leader, you have to be prepared for challenging situations, either that are brought by some of your team members or your own life. You can find wisdom and lessons that will take you to be even better with everything. Many times these lessons are hidden and packed with emotions.

Let’s focus on the example, so feeling jealousy, anger or frustration, or any other of negative emotions brings to the light some unfulfilled need or needs that are important for yourself or any individual that you are having on your path. So, the best idea is to focus on the lesson that this message or situation is bringing, what is the need that is standing behind that need to be fulfilled. Maybe some team member is struggling with a personal situation or there is a hidden message that was not told.

The elephant in the room always will stay there until it is named and discussed, then the new solutions and lessons could be learned. With communication that allows for honest conversations, challenges and busters of new ideas can be born.
