Our vision is to create the healthcare system to be more like a trusted family friend. One of the issues that we will expand is the burnout of healthcare professionals, the problem is of course complex, but we highlight the most important things.

Healthcare professionals in the United States are facing a growing problem of burnout, which affects well-being, job satisfaction, and patient care. Burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by chronic workplace stress. It is characterized by feelings of cynicism, detachment, and a decreased sense of personal accomplishment.

One of the biggest contributors to healthcare professional burnout is the increasing workload, which has become a significant challenge in the healthcare industry. Many workers are feeling overwhelmed and overworked by long hours, irregular schedules, and the stress of life-and-death situations are all taking their toll on healthcare workers.

Sometimes what is supposed to be a blessing, becomes the curseā€¦The use of electronic health records (EHRs) has also been linked to healthcare professional burnout. EHRs were introduced to improve efficiency and accuracy in patient care, but they often require healthcare professionals to spend a significant amount of time entering data and navigating the system, taking away from time spent with patients. This can lead to feelings of frustration and a sense of being bogged down by administrative tasks.

Burnout also has a significant impact on patient care. To name only a few: making more mistakes, have decreased job satisfaction, and experience higher levels of absenteeism. This can lead to lower quality of care and higher healthcare costs.

To combat burnout, healthcare organizations must take a proactive approach to addressing the root causes of stress and burnout among their employees.
