“As a woman I have no country. As a woman my country is the whole world.” – Virginia Woolf

Today’s connected world is giving so many blessings to all entrepreneurs. In the world, which has already become a small world and a global village, we have a chance to focus on the problems or challenges that really matter to us. Of course there are many blessings and curses in any situation, but I am going to focus on the other side, a positive side of the equation.

As a woman, who is the citizen of the world, we can tap into the problems that really matter to us no matter where we are. In many cases, the geographical borders do not have that much meaning if we set our mind to focus on the right things to solve and surround ourselves with the best people out there. Emerging technologies already prove in many cases that it is redefining every aspect of our life. Some financial barriers are also being minimized by the ready to apply solutions for someone that wants to start or get their business into a new level.

From the society point of view, we still are raised by parents or a particular culture with the rules related to such a region, but in many cases after some time we have a right to decide, what we are going to take further with us, and what we are going to live behind. The fastest ability to adapt to the changing circumstances was one of the criteria to success. To predict and diversify right decisions from wrong ones, but in real life, we have to have more right decisions than wrong and that will bring us closer to our goals. And it is impossible to make only the right decisions, but learning from our actions overtime, learning what is working and stopping what is not working is the best precaution for future success.

There are so many myths provided by fake gurus, one of them is that everything needs to be planned and go really smoothly. Some even talk about 4 hours a day a week, that may be a solution but not for someone that is obsessed with their business or the difference that they want to make.

Instead of accepting that sometimes the hard times will come, no matter what. Deciding from the very beginning that things can be hard or tough, could replace so much pressure from our shoulders.

Or that “you can have it all”, let’s focus for a while on this term, to make it more clear we have to decide what it means for an individual. If it means that we can have a family, social life and great career, it may be a false promise. Let’s say for example, that as a woman you want to be a mother, so raising kids will cost you time that you could spend on developing your career. Don’t get me wrong, I am not against creating a family nor raising kids, but to add anything more to our schedule we need to take something from existing activities. And to be excellent or on the top of the game in any field, there needs to be hours and hours of hard work to be spent.

It is important to understand what is priority in each part of your life. Asking the right questions and planning could help. Always the best question to ask is how much it costs me and if it is worth it? If both of those questions could be answered honestly and we accept the price that is being made forefront, with the strong reason why we want to do it, it gives as much more chances for success.

With globalization, we get many chances to tap what matters to us. Many barriers have lover entrance, but nothing in the long run replaces the right mindset, hard work and habits of success.
