I do believe that greatness in any leadership role requires both having a vision and dreaming big, but also executing every day. There are many people out there who talk about what they would like to accomplish or will do one day, but hardly is this day coming or it will never come. The easiest way to explain it is to go out of your comfort zone and don’t be afraid of rejection and judgment. Another factor is that any dream project likely has more complex parts and possibly requires you to do things that you may not like or even hate to do. With this emotional baggage, there could be many internal barriers that stop us from succeeding.
Additionally, the surrounding environment, starting with family, friends, school, and the place where we are living creates some opportunities and challenges. With deciding what really matters, have a laser focus on the end goal and understand that the path may not be that easy. A high level of internal motivation comes from the alignment of values, core beliefs, and everyday actions that are influencing one another. When the strong desire is there, we have everything that we need at the very beginning. Being resourceful every day, creative with the ways of how A, B, or C could be achieved because it shows our capability to reach whatever goals we want, this helps us to avoid unrealistic goals or expectations.
I am so happy and excited about all the organizations that help with making the dream a reality. One of them is ASTIA, which I gladly joined as one of the Advisors. There is always a place for being a part of something important, which is for me improving the healthcare system and sharing my knowledge and feedback with those who need it.
